Thanks for the support lads!  :D Yes there is a bigger Koch on the market but I can't justify having that kind of spec and your right Mark my back wouldn't be able to support it! Mind you those Fractual Audio Axe FX look tempting. Arrrgghh all this gas is tempting!

I've still got lots of aches and pains, but they are partly because I'm having my spine, (which is bent over by muscles that won't relax properly) straightened by a Osteopath. It's working though and last time I saw him I thought I could do some cartwheels afterwards, it's that good. I have to do lots of stretching exercises at home which is 75% of the treatment, but now I can flex my spine right out on the floor with a rolled up towel under my back, until the back of my head touches the floor. When I first did it not a lot happened, and I could hear my spine creaking and my head felt like it was six feet off the floor!
I'm also doing 30 odd lengths of a 33.3 meter swimming pool as opposed to 12 when I first got in there. My back won't lay flat on the top of the surface of the pool so I couldn't get my head up to breath properly but that is getting better now. I used to be in a swimming club when I was younger and I never had a problem swimming until now.

It is good to be back at work as 8 weeks at home does get boring after a while. Mind you the drunken bully boy who runs the firm I work for has already tried to intimidate me because I'm seeking compensation. It's the idiot who is, according to my brief is in breach of 9 health and safety regulations, which doesn't come as a surprise. He is always drunk and doesn't do anything constructive whatsoever.  Isn't life a load of bollocks sometimes! I nearly get decapitated by nearly a ton of steel falling on me and now the c*nt is giving me a hard time.

Really glad to hear you are getting better, I know it takes a while, but when you can feel you are making progress it helps a lot.

Sorry to hear about the c*nt, err boss, I guess I know why he's being an ass, it's the sort of thing that could get him shut down, and as a drunken asshole, he won't find work again, or be able to build up a business, and he knows it. He's probably scared shiteless, and people like that (especially drunk ones) go on the offensive when threatened.

Chin up mate, life too short and doesn't contain enough guitars as it is (or Koch's apparently).

I'll shall rise above it with 'The Koch Massive'  :D

The drunk c*nt is employed there and doesn't own the firm. He will take the fall though if there is one to take as the firm employ him for his 'Operators License'. What the silly prick doesn't realise is, if he just butts out and lets things take their course without making too many waves then the impact on him will be kept to a minimum as there is no dispute over liability now and that keeps the claim out of court as far as i understand it. The HSE may take a different view on that but If he puts me out of work then I use my brief to skin the c*nt alive!

He isn't that refined Fernando, he wouldn't appreciate a great whisky, he just drinks pissy lager in pubs full of w**kers!

If they have admitted liability then it is now just a question of negotiating with the Insurers. The HSE inquiry is a different thing-the company can still be prosecuted and that is unaffected by your claim though it does help you in terms of establishing responsibility.
This moron though needs sorting by the sound of things.

Glad to hear you're back and nearly fully functioning Johnny.  Hopefully the back will recover soon, but I know backs take time from a Greyhound bus rear ending my car years ago.  They get better quicker with exercise (as long as you don't overdo it), so the swimming should be good for you.

The swimming has massively improved things and this morning I was getting my old technique back as i found I could lay flat in the water without my back restricting me with huge pains. So I'm getting there.
A rear end shunt from a Greyhound bus sounds bloody nasty Phil!!

Yes that is going on now but the solicitor has rejected two claims already. This arse wipe of a 'boss' was asking me about these offers, wanting to know why i hadn't accepted them! As if it has anything to do with him.
Yes, sorting is exactly what he will get if I loose my job over this. I know everything about him, including his drink driving habits. After that I'll probably give him a monster kicking as he has one due from me for about 2 years now the gobby bar-steward. He is pathetic, just cos he knows he has the power to sack me he uses it to make himself look big and tough in front of his 'mates'. They just think he is a w**ker. He is 47 and they're in their mid 20's. The thing is there is no jobs about at the moment so I've got to have even more self control. How the $%&# can I keep it cool faced with all this? I may have to read the bible for inspiration!!

Sounds like a rough situation at work.
I work in HR and know how to sack people fairly (if there is such a thing), hence, I can point out some of the technical aspects of the legal pitfalls your boss seems to be diving in to.

If it gets to the point you need a bit of free advice in the evening just PM me.

I may have to read the bible for inspiration!!

Just skip all the bits where they mutilate, sacrifice, rape, pillage and murder.
Hmm doesn't leave too much...

Well thanks very much Matt, that's very kind of you. I've had some 1st class advice from my online friends in here regarding this situation. Much better than any advise I've had in the real world!  :D

I was going to read the Bible but I thought I'd wait until the film comes out.

It should have a disclaimer saying this is fiction.
