I do like the '51 Precision style scratchplate and control plate... on the other hand, it's neat to have the Tele control plate to mount the switch on!

well i have both a 51 and a tele chrome plate - but only a tele pickguard which is why i leaned that way.  although i will most likely be redesigning the pickguard anyway to fit the body better so i suppose that makes no difference now

Here are my tele's.  The sunburst with the Silvertone mini-HB is a 59 Esquire with a brown sugar bridge.  The buterscotch has the piledriver (with a slowhand neck).
