^ Same here.

I guess the my main point is: who cares?!

If you order PRODUCT A and what you receive is labeled PRODUCT B its a legitimate concern, I respect BKP as a company and their product but its childish just because you like the product to give a free pass on their mistakes.

ceramic usually looks dark gray on the sides
alnico 5 looks shiny and metallic
and alnico bars used on pickups aren't as thick as the ceramic bars used by Tim

Mistakes happen, I'd be mildly ticked off if I got a mis labeled product, but not much. If I got the wrong product I'd be more annoyed.

I don't think anyone gives a 'free pass', but if you like a product and think it is good then you'll tolerate a mild annoyance, and of course the more highly you rate a product the more willing you are to tolerate.

JMP has a point, he has a reason to doubt what he received, and that undermines your faith in something. I think disgusting is a bit strong :) but hey, if that's how he feels.

I hope you get the answer to your question easily JMP :)

update:

my warpig WAS actually an alnico v, my local luthier looked the magnet an confirm to me its alnico v not ceramic, this its not Tim problem since i order the pickup from an north-america dealer.

but i contact Tim and he is now changing the magnet and send it the pickup back for free, also mod it the feet to triangular(Ibanez style)

conclusion, i recommend wherever you live order the pickups DIRECT from Tim.

sorry for my poor english

i got 3 BKP bridge pickups in the last months, MiracleMan, Nailbomb and Warpig, all 7-string and ceramic magnet.

On an unrelated note... How do they sound? Which one do you prefer? I've been looking at these exact three for a project.
