Anyone who has mixed CS neck with MM bridge know what the middle position is like then?
Just been playing my MM pair and they are a perfect match. Been playing a few tracks from No Rest For the Wicked actually :D

yes yes yes, they match very very well, like every BKP set. neck pickup is just a bit scooped and a bit too dark on lower notes... excellent for shredding, anyway!

+1
the MM neck pup is the only BKP model that didn't impress me
I think I even liked it better placed in the bridge position

im interested in this i know i want a mm bridge but i really want a nice clean sound from theneck (something most agree the mm neck is poor at..)
i need the neck to yh sound really chimming and sparkly clean, but then also mix well with the mm bridge and get aggressive enough to give a nice powerfull lead sounds for solos etc, i want like an arch enemy almost lead tone i think for my solos etc...

sorry for the thread hijack but i deemed our needs and q's to be silmilar enough ....

the MM neck isn't bad... just it has got much less personality than other BKPs.
your requirements are difficult to have together in the same pickup. hot and fat pickups are great for fluid soloing but they have a sort of "ptchooong" thing on cleans...  :)
sparkly cleans are usually in the territory of quieter, vintage style pickups, but for leads they show some limitation.

IMO the nailbomb is the best compromise. hot enough, middy but very clear on cleans. try this:

i must admit i am a fan of the miracle man neck. it probably depends what guitar you put them in, though i don't find the MM neck scooped or terrible clean. though agree it is great for shred.

i fitted my MM set in a couple of maple steinbergers of different construction methods (maple neck through and graphite bolt-on), and i must say i don't think there can be a better high-gain set for these guitars.

it's soon to say it, i've played with my new MMs just for some hour, but i think i like neck MM more on cleans than on lead sounds!
