PRS McCarty Treble clip (before it gets BKPs)

Shipped my Rebel Yells to Tim today for covering. Once they're back, I'll put them in the McCarty RW together with some Paper In Oil caps that I got from the US.

I like the McCartys for their string clarity and openness, but there is a quite annoying upper mid hike that I just don't seem to be able to dial out, and then they are soooo microphonic when I am with the band.

Really looking forward to the Yells, they sounded great in the PRS SE Singlecut, which is wood and mass wise similar to the McC.

PRS McCarty pickups are perfect Hunter.  It's that rubbish modeller you're using  :lol:

Funnily enough, I was talking to a guy at work today who's just bought an Axe-FX.  I think that's why he sold me his Celestion Gold cheap  ;)

I was thinking this a while ago... but I couldn't be bothered to trawl back through year-old threads to see if it was true :D

I'm not sure he'll go for an axe-fx at the moment though... if I was in his position with the valve amps he's got, and able to use them to their potential in the way I wanted, then I probably wouldn't have left valves for modelling either :D

I think I did have a pop at the pretty-boy PRS Customs a while back, and they're still not for me.  So I've not completely turned around my tastes  ;)
