gibson made some explorers and vs with alder/maple set neck construction in the 80s - I think 83 was the big year for that.

this is a special edition model i have seen before - it was in gibson catalogue and is an offical model. shame they didn't do a v one.

i would totally play this guitar, but i won't be buying it - because i don't have anywhere near the money, its priced way over the odds, and even if both these factors were sorted i'd be thinking of a V XPL.

would quite like a swamp ash or alder v.

it is an ugly guitar - too many cheap guitar plastered with union jack graphics.

although i like the steinberger because that starts of as quite ugly and in your face anyway ;)
