The strange thing is, I had been researching norse mythology (as you do) as my band is changing name from Ascendancy, foung the symbol Valknut/Valknøt, settled on that for the bandname and now the name keeps popping up everywhere i turn (michael Amott hass the symbol as an inlay for his new dean sig. guitar)

That's hilarious, especially considering Vallnøt just means walnut.

I always thought that Macadamia has a ring to it. I thought it was a mythical land ruled by benevolent giraffes where Monday had been replaced by an extra Friday and Wednesday was replaced by a tree. Imagine my surprise when I learned the truth.

Walnut? My worry was that people would pronounce as Valk - Nut. anyways the name comes with its own symbol (better for merchandise + designs) and getting 5 people to agree is not easy.

One guy had suggested the Joseph Fritzl Experience, another had Before the Bloodshed and I came up with Darkness of the Driven and Valknøt.

That's made me feel all LOVELY and dreamy... I want to live in Macadamia with the benevolent giraffes and have BBQs on Mondays.

Ahhh....
