Pedal Boards
« on: May 04, 2009, 10:06:51 AM »
Can I call on your vast collective knowledge and ask where I can get an aluminum flight case style pedal board? I don't need one with a power supply as Twinfan pointed me in the direction of those a while back.

So far I have 2 HBE pedals and another the same size. A big Weeping demon wah and a Yamaha Magicstomp. I do want more obviously though!

Eh up Johnny  :)

I really like the Diago boards.  Not Ali flightcase style, but very nice none the less.  A bit pricey new, but you can grab a second hand bargain on eBay

Failing that, this place has a bunch of Ali ones:

Don't know how much they are in the UK, but Pedal Train does ones with flight cases or gig bags in about 4 sizes.
So many pickups, so little time

Mine is from Flightcase Warehouse (http://www.flightcasewarehouse.co.uk/index.asp?link=flg123.&kw=flightcase%20warehouse&fl=288165&ci=2359812411&network=s)

I've been thoroughly impressed with it, and it has withstood my abuse very well.

I built mine - there's a post about it somewhere.

I looked at LOTS of them but just couldn't justify the (IMO) shockingly high cost of them.

very nice timing there johnny, i've been thinking of a cheapo pedalboard for home use (just to tidy them up a bit and take them off the floor!) for the past few days, very nearly made a thread too  Thanks for the links twinfan and hamfist, I'll take a look at those. :)

I got 1 of the big Warwick Rock Cases from Thomann about 18 months ago.

All in with shipping it was about £60 and it's been a very good board, especially for the money  :D

These are old pics, there's been some changes since, but shows you the size of the board I got for the money just by going international :D

That's pretty cheap... how come I could find anything like that..?

 :?

Edit - just checked and they're doing the 60x40 one (which is relatively small) for £72.48...

^ yeah, i thought i checked thomann, and they only had pretty expensive boards :( either they've upped the prices, or the falling exchange rate is to blame (or both!)... I was a bit worried when I saw the size of brow's board for a pretty good price!

I ordered that kinsman one last night, it's only for home use so it doesn't exactly need to be bombproof, figured I couldn't go too far wrong for ~£35 all in... :)

oh yeah, forgot about this thread. mr bump, mine came yesterday, i haven't got it wired up or anything, but at first look i reckon it'd hold around 10 boss-style pedals or so, in two rows of five.
