BKP for the duncan triple shot and korina v
« on: May 08, 2009, 12:19:44 AM »
I just got an epiphone korina V and am looking to get it some pickups to really make it sound great.  I do like the sound of it unplugged, it's loud and sounds almost chambered even though its not as far as i know.  What I'm looking for as far as pickups go is something that will get great coil tapped tones, I was even thinking maybe different types of wire on each side since the duncan triple shot could use each side of the pickup, but i dont know how that will sound together.  I'm pretty sure what i end up getting is probably going to end up being high output so the tapped coils will have enough power for some decent tones.

As far as my style, I do a lot of old funk like parliament, sly and the family stone, and james brown, along with psychedelic 60s hour long improvisational stuff like hendrix, cream era clapton, and early pink floyd from piper-meddle.  I do want to cover as much ground as possible with these though as my band plays jazz, 50s rock, early blues, and jug band stuff on top of these things.
