Anyone see Slash on "American Idol"?

OK, I probably shouldn't admit I watch American Idol.... but sometimes it's best to get these things out in the open.  :|

This week was their first ever "Rock Week", and the "Mentor" was none other than Mr Slash.

It wasn't great - but I wish they'd have a Rock Week on X-Factor.  AI may be nothing more than a production line for bland,  manufactured, artificial pop artists... but the singers are still way, way better than their UK equivalents.

That Adam Lambert is disgustingly good, I mean its just sick, I don't like him, I don't like his performances, but $%&#in ay that guy is phenomal, his voice is literally perfect, I'd be ashamed to even whistle right next to him.

Lambert/Hambert/Glambert is unbelievable, he's as camp as a row of tents but what an amazing singer.

He should win it by a mile, but Danny Gokey seems to have a vast number of Bible-bashers supporting him.

and if she wins, they'll make her into another amy crackhouse clone, that there are millions of, out there right now... some of them can sing but the music is utter rubbish

Sounds good, but then there isn't the boredom factor I get after hearing the same old cr@p for 10 or 12 weeks of the series!  :P

He's good.  But in the UK version they'd have kicked him out at the audition stage just for having terrible hair (unless, of course, he had a good sob-story like a disabled child or a recently-deceased wife).  Never mind the talent, it's all about the image and "the journey".  :roll:

fortunately the italian edition is still partly free from these clichees... anyway in italian music there's a long tradition of sheepy curls, so that saved him, i think... :)
