I've told ppl about those sites for a long time!

Great idea for a thread, though!

Let's see if we can make this thread a great resource!

My contributions:

Cubase forum  http://forum.cubase.net/phpbb2/index.php?sid=069e3167f4c80eede9c20ca58e5d0797

And, of course, Sound On Sound http://www.soundonsound.com/
Worth every penny for a subsciption!

I wish I saw them before! No wonder some people go to University to learn this stuff. I used to use the PC on a wing and a prayer. I'm scared shiteless off clicking in the wrong place (which I have now done) and stopping it all working. Hopefully if try and learn something I may even enjoy it.

Any sites that can help us all learn this subject will be useful!

For those of us that still like to get information from books

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Guerilla-Home-Recording-Matter-Leonard/dp/1423454464/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1242122666&sr=8-1

That is a CLASS book, I thoroughly recommend it, had it for some years now...

I've seen this book on the Amazon site. Ok two thumbs up from two posters whose opinions I value is good enough for me. I shall also get this book.  :D
I can't get enough of this info at the moment. I had a good read through the tweakhead site, its very good.
