I've just had a look at the amp, it has two 4ohm line outs to go to cabs, and something plugged into an 8ohm line out that goes to somewhere in the amp (presumably the speaker?) do i take this out and put the hotplate there, or am i looking in the wrong place?

i hope that made sense

yep, you plug a speaker cable from that 8 ohm socket to the hot plate, then the cable you unplugged, which does indeed go to the speaker, goes into the hotplate's output.  one of those simple yet faintly terrifying things, sure you've done it right, yet convinced that flicking the power switch will result in an expensive bang! :o

Hey guys, I was asking a question to a seller on eBay and he claims that the 16 Ohm Hotplate can be used on all Ohms without causing any damage. He says he's used it that way and got good results. He claimed that the different models THD do are just marketing scams. Could that be true? I didn't trust him so I didn't buy it, besides he's been using it wrong (if we're to believe the manual which I think is way more credible than he is..).
