HsH pickups for Music Man silhouette
« on: May 17, 2009, 02:44:00 AM »
I was planning on replacing the stock Dimarzio PAF Pros for something with more attitude. I am looking for a tone that would be good for thrash, melodeath, but can also pull off good clean tones.
I am playing through a Swart space tone reverb 5W (I know a weird choice for metal) and a blackstar HT-Distx pedal.
All I want to be is normally insane.

I'm guessing it's alder,

So my suggestion would either be Painkillers or something along the lines of a ceramic Warpig bridge.
Painkillers cause it's alder,
Ceramic Warpig because I have one and it's good for melodic death.

Not PK/CWP together though, that'd be odd.
