I got my diadario 12-64s from strings direct as individual strings.

its not hard to find the guages you want.

I hate dead strings and seemingly I have the most corrosive sweat in the world  :lol:

So being able to buy boxes of strings at a time for cost+VAT kind of made sets the way to go.

But I'm gonna see how I get on with the Newtones.

I still have a few guitars with the diadarios on them (I only got 4 newtones). I cant stand to play them now, both because of the inherent unpleasantness of playing suspension bridge cables (that I've always just put up with for superior tone) and the now hugely inferior tone.
