The Wire, Season II
« on: May 20, 2009, 09:08:57 PM »
Don't know if you guys ever watch this, but it's a cracking bit of TV.

The title theme for all the series is "way down in the hole", apparently a Tom Waits tune, performed by Waits in season II.  The reason I mention it is that there's some awesome blues lines in the track, real savage and cutting little snippets.

Mark.

Tis a very good song. The version in S3 is the weakest, the Steve Earle version in S5 is pretty cool. My personal favourite, even though I am a big fan of Waits, is the S1 version1!
I think I hate being indecisive.

Just clocked that - must have missed it, oddly enough.

Still a great tune though!
