I think it's partly a case of who stocks what, everywhere sells Celestion in the UK but only a couple of places sell Eminence and nowhere has a comprehensive stock of them.

I'm thinking of the Cannabis Rex now, it's only about £50 delivered and I cant as yet find a bad review.  At that price I'll probably end up getting a Wizard also to swap around.  in fact that got me thinking....

Could you have an extension cabinet and footswitch between the onboard speaker A and the cabinet Speaker B?

So for your clean sound have a Fender flavoured speaker then for OD switch to a more British flavour speaker with the same amp?  I'm thinking perhaps you could wire it as such that if you change channel, the speaker changes also so you can go from sparkling cleans to chunky crunch aided by the speaker change, from US to Brit?

Just a though, but probably would just have them both on all the time....

I have experience with the wizards and all I can say is well... balls to the wall man!

I had 2x V30 and 2x G12T-75 in my bogner uberkab and it had a nice sparkly cleans and overall tone but the od just didn't have the oomph I was looking for. So I swapped out the G12T-75's to Wizards and the difference was just insane. The cleans changed a bit, I think where it lost that supersparkly brittle high end it really gained some body and texture. Overall I'm more than happy with the outcome, big thumbs up for eminence from me!

My first post!
I just bought a pair of Wizards the other day. It is definitely louder and brighter sounding than my two different Celestion speakers (Classic Lead, V30).
I haven't yet thrown them in a closed back 412. Experiences so far are with an open back 212.
Other Eminence speakers I have played through are Cannabis Rex, Texas Heat, Legend V12 and The Tonker.
Cannabis Rex to me is tonally quite far from the Wizard. CR is smoother overall and has a "jazzier" feel to it.
Ones I am not too fond of are Legend V12 and the Tonker. Not saying those are bad speakers. Maybe I just need to spend more time playing with them.
All of the Eminence speakers seem brighter and more balanced compared to Celestion speakers I have used.
V30's for example (in my opinion) have more responsive and detailed mid range than any of the Emi's.
My V30's are very well broken in though.

Something to keep in mind is that the Wizards are a bit louder than V30's and T75's being not as loud. Many seem to think that Wizards mix up well with other speakers though.
While I personally cannot comment on how your cab would sound when swapping G12T75's for Wizards, I am about to install 2 Wizs into a 412 with 2 V30's later today. I'll try to record a sample to give an idea how the Wiz sounds with V30.

So when you say the Wizards are bright, is the top end pleasing or harsh, I've always found V30's bright you see.
I'm thinking of a Wizrad in an open backed 1x12 combo but also thinking of the Cannabis rex.  The Rex has been described as smooth and round so my current worry is that the Rex may noy have enough bite and grit whereas the Wizard might be too loud and gritty.  I like a sound that can be sweet and clean to gritty and raw just by changing the pick attack, something nice and dynamic.  Is the Rex very clean and precise?

I presume they would both be better than my Celestion seventy 80 though.....

I think you might like the Tonespotter - it sounds a bit smoother than the Wizard but still has a great tone - it's supposed to be based on the G12-65 which is a classic sound.  I have a pair in an open back Avatar cab and they sound good with lots of different amps.

I had a Legend V12 in an old cab and it sounded way better with G12H30s in it, so from my very limited experience I'm much more partial to Celestions. Would like to give the Guvners a go though, and the Wizard maybe (isnt it just meant to be a higher powered G12H30?). I think there are a few places in the UK who stock em, last time I was looking I found them quite easily just through google. I think they were a bit cheaper than Celestions at the time, as well :)
