Need to replace a C-pig but with what?

Ok I have a RG 550 with a C-Pig in the bridge and a MQ in the neck. The MQ is staying, though the pig just is not cutting it for me. I have a Miracle Man set in my Les Paul and absolutley love it. I'm just not sure if I would like it in the RG.  I need something thrashy with a good lead tone. Maybe I should go with another MM(?) Maybe I just do not get along with basswood(?) The c-pig sounds kind of flat in the guitar.

Flat? From what I've heard, the c-pig should be anything but flat. Have you tried changing the pots?

It sounds weak compared to the MM set. I've checked the wiring and everything is right. I put a 3 way switch in with the MQ and C-pig, also disconnected the middle pickup. It's not really the rhythm that sounds flat it is the lead tone. I have heard from others that the pig is not fantastic for leads. The MQ is awesome though!

that does not sound like a c-pig at all ..

the one i got (IMO) literally pisses all over the MM i got in the mahogany jackson.-. and it's in a maple fretboard, alder body superstrat (and before you say anything, both have a floyd-ish trem .. it's a copy)
dont take this the wrong way, the MM is SUPERB! but the C-pig is in a different league.

try switching them.. and if you dont like the MM/MQ config... throw the RG away
