VHII dual humbucker set 2 or 4 wire?
« on: June 05, 2009, 04:12:21 PM »
I am considering a VHII matched set and I cannot decide on a 2 wire or 4 wire set up.  I am thinking of doing some cool phasing stuff ala Brian may...anyone have a scematic on how to wire these??

There is no real advantage in getting 2-wire, so you could also just get 4 wire and do the phase reverse switch at later stage.

Yeah just get a 4 wire, the extra two cables come wired together (or used to) so it acts just like a 2 wire until you connect the other 2 wires to a pot.

I think 2 wire is just for the extremely vintage correct people. Or people who don't like the sound of splitting/tapping their humbucker's.
