What a night to go camping!
« on: June 07, 2009, 05:27:30 PM »
I went to the Glastonwick Festival yesterday. It was a good laugh, loads of real ale and cider. Lots of strange bands but  it was good fun.

Then it rained....and rained....and rained some more. My new tent was full of water. I think I only slept for 5 minutes it seemed!

There are lots of little fests around these days. 15 quid including camping. Good value, just ignore the 50 year old anarchists selling class war.  :D

John Otway was there but I missed him
Anal Beard? No I'd never heard of them either!
Hobo Jones & The Junkyard Dogs were good fun.
Its a huge piss up really, about 50 odd ales and 10 ciders. Some of them are gorgeous, some taste like old socks!
There is another festival on this site next month called 'Down Home' which apparently is nu-blues, alt-country and Americana. That one sounds pretty good.  The one i was at is very left field and the music is a bit of fun and not taken that seriously.
