Ah-ha!  But then it could be a double bluff - saying there's misinformation when in fact someone is uncomfortably close to the truth!  :?

I'm going for the "genuine satanism at the highest levels" bit... might explain why Akerc0cke wear those musty old suits.  :o

Learn and think for yourself. Make your own decisions. Don't let some religion do that for you.

It's not a relegion, but a prerequist is that you believe in a higher being (of any relegion).  Well traditionally that was the case, don't know if it still strickly is.

I was reading some books about the masons when one of mates was joining.  All dates back to someone getting a kicking at the building of the Temple of Soloman I think.  That's where the compass and hammer stuff comes in.

If anyone is in Bath, then have a good look at the Cresent next time you're there and see if you can spot the symbols.
Advice worth what you just paid for it.

Stuff like this intrigues me a lot. Anyone got any good websites/reading material that they can point me to. I don't believe in anything like this (or religion-wise) but I do like to read a good yarn.

What you're interested in sounds like esoterica, not necessarily Masonic teachings.

I can only speak as I find, they were a good audience, paid without hassle and were very generous with drinks and food. I checked with my folks and the members in my family were all pre WW2 so no-one in living memory. Mrs 38th's Grandad was one though he died about 35 years ago. He was well known locally for his charitable work. I find it hard to believe that they were Satanists somehow but what do I know? I used to work with a fanatical conspiracy theorist and he had all kind of ideas about masons and used to go on about them a lot.

Perhaps some amongst us might not be too afraid of 'satansim' at the highest order. In many ways, over-exuberant or ultra-evangelical Christianity, or ultra-hard-line Islam, or <insert more examples here ad nauseam> are just as bad. Perhaps I'm tainted with the regret of having lost potentially some of the best years of my life to wasting my time being a Christian Union rep and getting very involved in the church. I really, really wish I could have those years back.

So yeah, dodgy groups of people held together by shard spurious beliefs aren't top of my favourite list, funny handshakes or not.

Lots of rumours about genuine satanism at the highest levels too. I'd recommend anyone to stay away.
i recommend avoidance. not because of the claimed satanism ritulas, but because of far more dangerous stuff, which you do not get to see at the lower levels, which is the boring stuff. and there's a freakload of freemasons in all echelons of governments.

it is not a religion and it should not be taken lightly. the're involved in far more than you might think
