Add a Budda Superdrive to the list and a Two Rock Jet. If you could get a amp with the clean of the Two Rock and drive of the Budda that would be awesome. Plus Budda is made and distributed by Peavey now, which could be considered good or bad. I was talking to them at LIMS and they have employed all the original team who still work on the amps, so I see it as a good thing.

I've had the misfortune of having to try and sell that ... no, just no. Especially here.. no.
Yes, it has a lot of features, yes the channels sound very nice the first 10 minutes. But there's something about the Koch sound that just leaves me completely cold... I think it's the fact that it doesn't really have any character or something, it's a strange phenomenon and hard to pinpoint. I've never heard of anyone playing with them for longer than half a year... even after raving about it in the first months.

Also I'm dutch .. I would never buy a dutch amp haha.  :lol:
By the way: don't get me wrong, I'm a gearhead and love knobs of all kinds! (ahem) But that Koch just doesn't float my boat.

May i suggest getting your ears syringed. Its all in the presence knob my friend.  :)

Lol, suggest all you want, my ears are fine, I'm not saying they sound bad. I've spent a lot of time with it (I like to know what I'm selling.. unlike some people), and the sound just didn't do anything special for me. It's nice.. but there's no mojo there for me ;) That's all I'm saying.

I've not actually tried the Supernova to be honest. I own a Powertone II which I have had for 4 years now and i can't get a bad tone from it. The different BK pups I own all sound so different in through this amp. The normal gain channel can give stunning sounds with the Rebel Yells I have. I was thinking the Supernova would offer the same tones + a few more and have the great feature of having all your favorite tones instantly switchable via a midi controller.
I did try my head through a Marshall cab last year and it was a completely different sounding amp, the Koch cabs have Jenson made speakers, I believe.
Yes each to their own. Tone is subjective, one mans meat ect..

Thread hijack, sorry - I've looked at MJW's site a couple times, and it seems he doesn't offer any option for a reverb tank (I mean, else than having a separate reverb in the FX loop) ?

Have you tried the new Marshall MG Series? It's got pure analogue tone and built in effects!
