I'm with JohnnyMac, I love Islay whiskies especially Laphroaig, Lagavulin and Ardbeg.

I've also become fond of a few bourbons, Evan Williams (ahh.. a good Welsh name if ever there was one) is pretty good, and my favourite Japanese whisky is Hakushu made by Suntory. It's got as much character and complexity as a good Scottish single malt but with a slightly different twist.
IMO any other Japanese whisky needs to be drowned in water to make it drinkable.

Anyone tried Knobs Creek. I don't know much about it (Other than its aged 9 years) or about whisky in fact, but I have tried many and this ones been my favourite so far.

Probably laphroaig 10yr or caol isla 18 year old for whiskey. Honorable mention to Talisker, balvevie and ardbeg.

That said, I like to savour those - If I'm on some sort of whiskey drinking mission then I switch to whisky and go for the JD or Jonny walker black.

Any old excuse to dig out the pics and show off ;)

Now, this is whisky!

I'm glad to say the collection has expanded somewhat since those were taken and there's quite a lot more there now.

In fact, looking at them like that, I may just have a tasting session tonight. :D

i like that vodka which has the blade of grass in it.

Zubrowka!!! Definitely this. Best vodka by a country mile imo.

I adore Southern Comfort, I love to drink it neat (& yes I know it's a bourbon not a whisky)

It's not even a Bourbon, it's a flavoured liqueur with Bourbon in it! :P

I love my single malts
Welsh whiskey from the Penderyn distillery is good stuff
Picked up a bottle of Japanese whiskey called Yamazaki but not got the chance to try it yet

Shobet. It's good to see you clearly drink your whiskey by the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle endorsed mugfull

I used to really like Southern Comfort but it just tastes too sickly sweet for me now.

Nice collection, Shobet.

I think Jack Daniels isn't too bad, it's just not worth the price they ask for it here in the supermarket.

This is PART of my friends collection btw, I remembered I had these pictures still on my PC; his Irish/Scottish Whiskeys aren't there. I didn't meet him for quite a while, unfortunately, let alone do I remember the names of the whiskeys i tried at his place.

If it is Scotch he did spell it right - whiskey with an 'e' is Irish or American.

I am another Islay whisky fan and Laphroaig is the one I go for the most. Not really into Vodka at all (though as a teenager I used to have it in a glass of Cider and I liked to get out of my tree on account of a not very pleasant situation I was in- and so I associate Vodka with bad times and have no desire to ever drink it again).

If I were Shobert I would put that Turtles mug to good use and work my way through those bottles.
