Well just got back from that new robot movie,
And wow was that waste of my evening, its amazing how movie trailers can blow your mind with awesomeness and then leave you thinking wtf happened after watching the actual film.
MINOR SPOILERS BELOW:
The first hour is much ado of nothing, a wee bit of action, and alot of awkward sexual innuendo. Call me a priss, but when even the dogs are $%ing there's just something wrong about all of it being in TRANSFORMERS. I ended up sitting next to a little kid and she seemed pretty uncomfortable with what was happening onscreen, the director should have been more considerate of the expected audience (aka families and a helluva lot of kids).
The second hour sort of picks up the pace with a real bad attempt of mystery and questing, the search for the "kings dagger under the light of 3 suns" feels like it was ripped out of a bargain-bin dungeons and dragons adventure, I'm sure the average 2nd grader could've came up with a better plot, in fact, give me $100,000,000 budget and I coudl've come up with a better plot.
Finally the last half hour, pretty much non-stop robot explosions and action, it was great. So great in fact, one wonders why there was the 2 hours of garbage that proceeded it. It did nothing more than prove that a great budget and great graphics don't make for a great movie, it felt like watching "The Phantom Menace," all over again, if you catch my drift.
