It's a Wilkinson roller nut, which they used on the early Jeff Beck Strats.  The current model has an LSR nut, I think, so presumably that's one of his old Strats with a big fat neck.

Nah he dislikes the big neck sigs that were made for him. Lots of info on his number 1 here :)

Philly Q 's quotes:Beck's amazing and totally unique.  But when I saw him a few years back, I must admit that by halfway through the show I was a bit tired of all the skronking noises and playing melodies with the whammy bar.  I can only listen to him in small doses, after that I'm crying out for something simple!
Agree !He is amazing and unique  :) as a guitarist..Just record and listen to the best "songs" (parts) from the "Blow by blow"LP,you won't get bored (at least shouldn't  :))!A few years ago,i watched him at the BBC Jools Holland show;at the end,he played an incredible version of "Brushed with the blues".Unbelievable feeling and control!

I do like Blow By Blow and Wired - but again only in small doses, a couple of tracks at a time!

I prefer the old Jeff Beck Group stuff, like Truth and Beck-Ola (in the days when Rod Stewart wasn't a tw@t! )

Are there really days when he wasn't a tw@t?
I think I hate being indecisive.

Well, in absolute terms he probably was a tw@t all along, but at that point he was singing good songs in a good band - so at least musically he wasn't a tw@t.

(To be fair, the Faces stuff and even some of his early solo material is good too)
