Anyone tried one of these? (Martyn Booth Guitars)

They look really cool. I saw a review in an old guitar mag a few months back, and the guitar was baby blue and awesome.
AND it comes pre-loaded with BKPs :D

EDIT: Found a baby blue one 8-) ...Ideally I'd have both yellow and blue finishes

The guy was also involved with Yamaha to make the MSG (called the Image in the USA) - excellent guitar and they come up on eBay now and then:

I've read about his guitars for many years and they always gets very highly praised.  He used to write for Guitarist occasionally so they always give him a mention or a review when he does something new.

They look very well made, but personally I'm not crazy about the body shapes.

I think they look fantastic. I am not a lover of yellow but the one at the top of the thread looks great.

Yeah, I know what you mean. The Special is the only one that caught my eye on his website, but it REALLY caught my eye!

Simplicity at its best, i suppose... ?

It's stuff like this that makes me think making a guitar wouldn't be so hard, heh!

I think Matt77 tried one at the Manchester Guitar Show?

The ones I tried had the hipshot vintage trem on and they were a different model
They were very well made though and played great; I had a look at these ones but didn't play them in the end.
They looked well put together as well though
Martyn was a really nice guy and was very helpful.
I'd consider getting one if I was in the market for that style of guitar

Here's another MSG at Junction Guitars http://www.guitarjunction.com/shop/view_product.html?prod=1654

If that didn't have the locking trem, I'd be very tempted to buy it right now.

I am slightly worried about that, more guitars I shouldn't be buying...

All this time I've been wishing for a Yamaha SG but worrying about the weight.  The MSG could be the answer - different guitar of course, but same construction quality.
