BTW, project format: 24/44 WAV

Here is a drum track
http://www.dizero.com/studio/herbdrum.wav

Here is another one for clean stuff or whatever you find it useful for
http://www.dizero.com/studio/herbdrumcl.wav

DI record some riffs, whatever you want, double track right & left. Send me the 2 DI tracks or more if you have with info of what guitar, what pickup or whatever equipment used. If you have a bass why not cut a bass DI track too. I'll reamp it with my Diezel Herbert when I have time & we'll all see how that combo sounds. If you have many BKPs this will also make a great comparison. I saw some comparison here that didn't make any sence (no offence intended), so the idea poped in my head.

If you have other ideas, send me a midi drum track with your DIed guitars. It doesn't have to be metal, anything works. Doesn't even need to be with drums.

So who's up for it?

I can do a different drum track, if you guys or gals don't like the current one. Just let me know what you are looking for & we'll work something out.

Thank you, _tom_ !

I think you are better than you are trying to make us believe you are.

Besides, this is not a contest. I'm not here to judge anyone's playing skills. I'm hoping we can make a good reference & a good representation for Bare Knuckle pickups.

thats what people always say - till i actually start to play ;)  no, its not modesty or a need to surprise people with my amazing skills.  simply that i hang around here as a guitar builder rather than a guitar player.
anyway, didnt want to take it too far off topic.  i will try and get some clips at some point - but it probably wont be me playing :)

I'm finding it really hard to come up with something good for this drum pattern for some reason. I'll keep trying though!

If you have some other midi backed drum track you are comfortable working with, it's just as good, as long as you have the rights for using it.

Thanks!

Well my 2 favorite metal bands are Tool & Rammstein, so it makes sense. As far as odd meters & meter changes go, that's definitely where I picked it up from.

You should also check my geartest page, there are a bunch of naibomb clips there

Hi Nbarts!

I listened to some of your clips; would you say that the MD421 is a big factor in getting that beatiful, big and round sounds on your recordings?

Current BKPs: Miracle Man, Nailbomb, Juggernaut, VHII
Past BKPS: Holy Diver, Trilogy Suite, Sinner, Black Dog

Alex,

This is just my opinion & many recording engineers disagree with me, but I personally think that mic choice is highly overrated. I do prefer large diagram dynamics over small ones, like SM7B sounds always better to me than sm57, but I could get there with almost any LDD. There are many factor to getting a big sound, but the most important one is dialing the amp right. I hope it helps, if you have any further questions I'll be glad to answer.
