Great afternoon gig in the sun today!
« on: July 04, 2009, 09:02:03 PM »
Had a cracking gig this afternoon, doing my bit for charidee  :D

A local pub was having a 'Rock Stock' festival in aid of Christies Hospital, a cancer centre here in Manchester and one of the biggest in Europe.  They're having loads of bands on all day, bouncy castles for the kids and a BBQ.

The mighty YC/DC? were asked to do a set - which of course we were very happy to do.  An hour filled with the greatest 'DC tunes, cracking weather, loads of people with their families and a few beers.

You can't have a better Saturday afternoon than that, can you?

Great stuff Dave! Is that the old singer or a new one?
I think I hate being indecisive.

This the same lineup as always for YC/DC?

My band, Doppelganger, is the one currently with no lead vocals!

Good stuff :) I really want to do an outdoor gig in summer, I almost got to do one last year but it had to be moved inside because of the bloody weather!

Outdoor gigs are great fun -looks like you are getting on down there Dave. I did an open air one last week-apparently we could be heard for miles across the fields surrounding the venue.
Send three and fourpence we're going to a dance

I love outdoor gigs  :)  It's only the second one I've done, wish I could more!

Sounds like a great day.  I see your drummer is sporting the Chris Slade, rather than Phil Rudd, look.

Not sure about the "cracking weather" though, I've had enough of the bloody sun.  Looks like we may be about to get some rain in London today!  Hooray!  :D
BKPs I've Got:  RR, BKP-91, ITs, VHII, CS set, Emeralds
BKPs I Had:  RY+Abraxas, Crawlers, BD+SM
