Still, for that amount of cash i would rather have an original 60's goldtop or custom BB. Some rather tasty samples of those (mostly '68/'69 first reissued goldtops) are still up for grabs around the 10k in euro's over here in holland.

Undoubtably good zoo's (players or not) will be a very solid investment apart from being the 'holy grail' of gibsonism, which is still the question with the late reissues.

And oh yeah.... solid backs RULE!!!!!!!!!! PDT_045

I'd have an old 60s GT over one of these 'Rev' Les Pauls any day.

I'd take the Rev if I had the cash, seriously.

If the Jimmy Page models are anything to go by, the signed Pearlys will be worth an absolute mint in the future - far more than a 60s Goldtop.

if I had £10k to spend on a guitar, money wouldn't be an issue.

I agree - if I had the money, which I don't, I would buy one. If I win he lottery I will buy as many as I could and give them away to the good people on the forum!
I think I hate being indecisive.

I wouldn't worry too much, Ian, mere saving will never get you a Pearly.

It's more like sell-your-firstborn-child money.

of course I knew she sounded amazing, but I hadn't actually seen pictures in the same way I had Page's number 1 for example, or the Green/Moore lemondrop.
