If you want I can get an answer from Ian Hunter, I have a freind who is the guitarist in his touring band, and he is coming to town this month.  I met him once before and he is a really nice guy.  If it is his, I have tickets for the Mott the Hoople reunion - we could probably get a picture of him with the guitar if you wanted!

thx phil.  i am currently waiting to hear back from the person who owns the guitar about how he wants me to proceed with the renovation - and also get some better information about the guitars history that doesnt come third hand through my 'knows nothing about guitar' mother.
