At home.

Got loads of aches and pains.

Thumping headache.

Feel sick.

Running a temperature.

Can't even be bothered going to play my guitars.

I have the pox.

Hmmm...

It's at my sons school - as much as I love to fly in the face of convention, I think that I'll have to accept the piggy-pox diagnosis at some point...

At what stage do I grow a snout and tail?

Err Lurgie.....

Sorry to hear you're not long for this world.

It's been good knowing you and rest in peace, knowing you are going to a better place.  :(

(You'll be OK as you're obviously just a feckless malingerer)

Talking of the pig pox - both me and the Mrs have been feeling rough for ages - months almost.

NEway, I felt really cr@p last night, two nights running, so I finally went to the nhs web site to check out what one should be doing/thinking...

I ended up taking the online symptom test. I answered the questions as truthfully as possible, using their help/info buttons. Now bear in mind I feel cr@p, but not enough to stop me working/functioning. What do you think the fecking thing came up with? (for both of us):

"Dial 999 immediately.

Ask for an Ambulance.

Tell the ambulance controller... xyz"

So I watched Dr Alice Roberts talk about hovercraft and learn to drive one, that made me feel a bit better, then I took some paracetamol and went to bed...

I did a "How happy are you?" test once and I told me I was severely depressed and should seek professional help....

But feeling rough for months doesn't sound good - maybe you've got something like a very slight gas/carbon monoxide leak in the house?

(I know that's a bit of a random guess without knowing any of your symptoms  )

Before that, you'll feel a sudden aversion to pork scratchings and Frazzles.

I have actually wondered that, but I don't think that's it - it's less than a year since the agent/landlord got a British Gas test done, and we've had doors/windows etc open for months with the weather.

Also, we're talking various fungal infections, colds, etc - not convinced all of these symptoms are usually regarded as attributable to CO and gas leaks...

No, probably not  .

Coincidentally, on the fungal infections front, I've just got over a mild attack of Athlete's Foot, which I haven't had since I was 18.  Also been getting swollen feet in the hot weather, which doesn't hurt at all but looks bloody freaky.

Could it be that we're just getting old, Andy?  :(

Me too. Some of you may remember my swollen uvula thread (way back in Feb I think). After that I had all sorts of odd stuff going on. Temperatures, cold sweats, rashes on my chest and face, loads of phlegm (lovely!), a cough, blocked ears and a general cold. Maybe I was patient number 1 for the pig flu and didn't know about it!

I'm okay now though - just the tiniest hint of a cough. Unbelievable run of 5 months of not feeling 100%. God knows how I got my partner pregnant. I'm such a man  :o

Yeah, that's what we're getting (apart from the pregnancy bit), oh yeah, and we've got the athletes foot as well, Philly  :(

- I've just had a thought, is it something to do with being on the BKP forum?  :o :?

Or... mebbe...  has Tim accidentally got his hands on a dodgy batch of Alnico IV... great for tone, but we've all got uranium poisoning or something now....
