Fairly low, about waist height. Not the best pic (most recent/accurate one I could find) but you get the idea.

I hate having it up high, its easier to fret but it just feels all cramped and wrong.

mostly just rock it around the crotch level, seems to be the right height for my arm to naturally rest
used to go a bit higher for more tech stuff, had much better right arm speed on stuff.
the worst thing is when dudes rock things like explorers or v's too high, some guitars just look horrible when theyre above the belt.

The Les Paul naturally rocks a little lower, but not low enough to require baboon limbs. The others are higher, the upper horn about nipple height... comfy enough to reach the higher frets without it being 'too' high.

Almost as low as my webbing strap will allow. I find that 99% of all the straps sold in guitar shops don't go long enough, which is a shame :(

Can't find a pic just now but there are some on here, plus a video on facebook I think...

I use Dunlop Webbing straps and they're fairly long (longer than most I've come across) and I have them as long as possible. None of the this nipple height playing for me!

I have mine pretty high.

For me it all start when i bust my wrist, then got a bit of RSI and just found it much more comfortable/less of a strain when i had it there.

Then its just stuck with me since really.

I do however think it looks much cooler playing low, and when i've got a bit more time i'll probably practice with it lower to get a bit more 'cool' factor!

Ernie Ball polyweb straps are really long. I seem to need long straps as I'm fat/broad shouldered. Couch Guitar Straps also have ample length and look so cool.

Yeah, I use the Ernie Ball straps too - cheap and effective, and lo-o-o-o-ng :D

Back in the days of Mr Page, I used hang my guitars down at mid-thigh length.

But, as I  get older, I feel, stood in front of the mirror, that middle aged gits seem to look kind of odd dressed in their Blue Harbour M&S clothes with a guitar slung around the kneecaps

I find that I tend to sling different guitars at different heights. Eg a strat generally feels and looks more comfortable lower than a tele. But it also depends on the type of music I'm playing at the time.

When it comes down to it though, one has to remember what an electric geetar is all about - it's just a pen1s-extension really. So no matter what height I have the guitar, the line of the neck always bisects the general area of my crotch  (kinda difficult to do with the Jimmy Page height!!)

try these... http://minotaur.gr/catalog/
i've got a couple of them and - at their shorter length - the guitar is in the lowest position i still find comfortable... most are suited for bass too, you should be able to scratch the floor with your vociferator... :)
