cube 30X with headphone - bad sound issue
« on: August 06, 2009, 09:51:01 PM »
Hi !

I tried to plugged my headphone (HD 25-SP II) in my cube 30X.

The sound on clean channel is passable (REALLY flat) whereas the sound on any of the lead channel simulation is AWFUL : lots of buzz, noises, just cannot play it. terrible.

So I play with the power squezzer late at night....

Do you have any idea on what can be the issue here ? And do you also experienced something similar with yours ?

Thanks for your help !

It's a Roland Cube 30 with headphones.

What were you expecting?

well I am VERY happy with my cube 30X, the result is quite excellent for the price. It is not my main amp, but I have found some convenient settings and it does more than what I could have expected.

BUT when the headphone is plugged in, the sound on the lead channel is just terrible........you just can't play it !

Any thoughts on what can be that issue ?

Guitar speakers are very different from home audio speakers.
