Yes, its New Synth Day  8)

A 1985 Roland Alpha Juno 1 synth :) Famous for the classic rave sound. Can't wait to get this one home and make some big rave hoovers \o/

Got a nice price on it too, from ebay Italy. Just one (very small) cigaretter burn - not really worth mentioning.

I plan to use this in the techno metal i'm working on. Wondering if I should sell my Korg now.

Nice synth. The ADSRs are a bit slow for my taste though, not enough punch. But I do like the sound of the filters. You should get a controller unit. These Rolands can be controlled pretty well with CC or Sysex.

I still have a Nordlead and a MicrowaveII, but it's been ages I hooked those up.

regarding the controller unit, the behringer bcr2000 works well, and theres also a software based interface for mac i'm going to try. in general i don't mind too much the digital editing method, but its nicer to see it all visually.

my korg is an ms2000r by the way, and i also have a x0xb0x. i had once a novation bass station, but i sold it.

i never knew you were into synths hunter!

It looks cute, but I don't know too much about "synth" synths. I've got some cheap yamaha thing but I don't use it much. After that I've got a yamaha piano plus a Roland VK-8M for the hammond organ stuff -those do get used for songwriting and overdubs on recordings.

Well, back mid-late nineties I was much into it. I even wrote some articles and reviews for the German magazine "Keys" http://www.keys.de/

My friend though was and is a real freak, he's got all the stuff, even had the huge Waldorf Wave monster as well as early samplers and stuff, then he went all software, now he's back to buying hardware synths and samplers again, as they are so cheap on the 2nd hand market.
