Death metally riff ( sort of ) - Nailbombs
« on: November 01, 2005, 05:48:11 PM »
Alot of people ask if the Nailbomb has enough behind it to do more extreme music. I hope this clip helps a little in that department, however awful the mix is ! I will try and get another mix done as soon as possible.

Cheers

Have you played with the different beater options?

I tend to do a fair amount of work on the Kick using compression and EQ, a touch of low mid cut and add som hi mid for click usually works. Don't go mad boosting bass either, it makes matters worse!!

Yeah i general cut mids, boost hi's and boost 75hz and below. Works on sub woofers and big speakers, but makes everything else sound like ass. Im gonna have to have another go at the bass drum. Sounds great through my good speakers, and then over to a pc....absolute poopshnapp.
I have tried the all the beaters and find felt no wires is my favourite. I think i need to update my samples, i remeber going onto the website when i got DFD ( if you havent got it, go get it )

Ill have a go at what you said. Are you cutting the frequencies from around 200hz-1khz? Quite a wide and shallow?

Cheers for the tips.

That's wide and shallow, I'm always a little careful of low boost around 75hz, had a listen to it on some Genelecs an that's definatly not helping....sometimes boosting narrow around 100-120 gives a bass boost effect, as heard on car stereos everywhere....
