Installing BKP in RG7421
« on: August 13, 2009, 03:45:37 AM »
Hey guys,
I need some help figuring out the wiring here. Some sites say there is a blue wire on the ibanez pickups, but there is only red, green, white, black, and some sort of wirey mixture that I have already de-sodered. The Bare Knuckle has a red, a green/white, and a black/silver configuration.
Where do I connect the Bare Knuckle wires now?
Heres the ibanez wiring diagram:

Any one here done this procedure before?
Thanks
P.S Also, it seems like the pole pieces are too narrow on the pickups?! The original routed holes are about 1/16" too wide  what to do?

Well red is red and white (ib) becomes black (bk)

The MkIII replacements white and green need to be soldered together (which they should be by default)

And I cant for the life of me remember which way round the white and green are;....I *think* that black (Ib) is white (bk) and green is green. 50/50, though; if that sounds horribly wrong if/when you try it (which it will if it is wrong) then swap them around.

(And as an aside: I do wish ibanez wouldnt change their colour coding so bloody often).
