of course not - its bluey green burl maple

:o  Have we seen that one before with the finish on?

I don't think I liked the look of it unfinished (if I remember right), but the blue looks great!

Fair play, strings direct are good. I ordered some black sperzels yesterday at 3pm and they said it may take a while to get them in stock, they came today with no postage costs and they were already cheaper than everywhere else.

Tele looks good, needs a Floyd though :p

Made a couple of changes to the neck order too. Changed the radius to 16" and upgraded to the 'Earvana Precut and Installed Compensating Nut' in 'Graph Tech Black TUSQ XL'.

I avoided it at first glance because I thought it was the retro fitted which I think looks well ugly but it's not the retro fit.

It looks really wide and has the notches like the newer Ernieball Musicman, same nut size as an lsr apparantly.
wtf is the plural of Musicman? Musicmens Musicmans Musicmani?

Edited for pics!

Did you have to pay a load of VAT etc on the Glendale order?

It's not arrived yet, the pics were sent to me from Mark Jenny (the body guy) in the USA. I had the Glendale stuff sent to him and he'll send it all as one package to me as a gift. So, fingers crossed I'll avoid fees - thats always worked on Tele bodies in the past.  But If I do have to pay at least it'll be on the one box.

I decided to go with USACG for the neck in the end, I read so many positive things about them. They were really really good on the phone explaining the pros and cons of every little detail and making sure everything was right, it
ll only take them 3-4 weeks as well. mmmm graphite rods!

Warmoth charged me a cancelling fee, ho hum... live and learn!

Warmoth are great if they have what you want in the Showcase.  But I don't like doing a custom order that costs more than a Showcase item, when you don't know what it'll look like, or what it'll weigh etc.

I'm sure USACG are great too, but I really don't like their website and again you can't see what you're getting (although I heard they'll send photos?).  There's no way of dealing with them except by phone, though, and I hate phones, I always get flustered and forget things!

Oooo I wasn't slagging off Warmoth. I am a bit peed off that they charged me $80 for cancelling an order that they hadn't started work on though.

The guy Rob spent a good half hour chatting to me. We went over every detail of it - he spent at least 10 mins discussing fret heights with me and the pros and cons of SS frets etc etc... I really felt like they appreciated the business.

oh and he didn't charge me extra for the SS frets after I moaned about Warmoth charging me 8)
