True Blood
« on: August 16, 2009, 07:37:08 PM »
Since I finished watching The Wire I've been searching around for a TV series. I stumbled across True Blood recently and whilst nowhere near as good as The Wire (and completely different) I am surprised that I like it. I'm not usually into vampires but so far it's hlding my attention. Anyone else on here watch it?

I'm only on series one episode 4 (I think) so please no spoilers if you respond!
I think I hate being indecisive.

That'll please Jane! It is pretty good fun if you don't take it seriously - and I don't see how it could be taken seriously!

True Blood is fantastic. I love it. It does indeed just keep getting better and better.

The first season was good enough: the second is $%&#ing rocking. The characters are really coming into their own, the plots a great and the buildupping is (in modern  TV at least) second to none.

The episode I have just watched was the one where Bill Compton addresses the town people at the church. Some laugh out loud moments, particularly when Jason takes the V and starts tripping.

i haven't got round to watching it yet. at any given time there are about ten shows i mean to watch, but either never get round to it or else forget about till it's at like episode 17, by which stage i reckon I've missed too much.

I've got True Blood Sky+ed, and I've watched the first couple of episodes - I'm liking it, but my wife's a little dubious - mainly because of the slightly pervy nature of it, I think...

What's pervy about it? I thought that sort of behaviour was perfectly normal  :)

I love True Blood

I got into it last year and am currently about 8 episodes into series 2

If anything the sex content has gone up a little

I posted about the theme music last year - absolutely love it

It certainly lacks nothing in sex and violence

And is hysterically funny.

And is hysterically funny.

The scene where Jason goes to the hospiatle to get 'you know what' drained had me laughing AND gritting my teeth at the same time.

So far pretty much all of the soundtrack is top quality - the theme song in particular. I love music like that, all moody and atmospheric.

Yep, that was a laugh

Recently the funniest thing was the christian army drill seargent.

"RISE AND SHINE FOR GOD!"
"YOU WORTHLESS SINNER, DROP AND GIVE ME 20!"
"I PRAY JESUS AINT WATCHIN' THIS SH!T TODAY!"

Fully cracked me up, couldnt stop laughing

Eric also makes me laugh, but I'm not quite sure why.
