Well bad news. The guitar was damaged in shipping. It got returned on Tuesday and I am getting a different guitar, the Caparison I was originally supposed to get. Really gutted me too, as it looked awesome and sounded even better.

Yes it does suck. The guitar I am getting is awesome as well, but that Jackson was special. I only played it for 5 minutes because I knew I wasn't keeping it, but man do i miss it.

Just cosmetic stuff. Some stuff came loose in the case came loose in shipping and put a nice chip on the top of the guitar and a big chunk out of the paint on the back edge, also a crack in the finish by the nut. Nothing that hurt playability, but a lot of damage for what it cost. It went back to Fed Ex and the dealer opened a claim with them. I likely could have gotten it back plus a chunk of cash, but I would have to wait a least a month or so for them to make a decision and such. I have had bad luck with this whole thing as this was actually a replacement for a guitar that Fed Ex damaged all the way back in February. So I have been dealing with this for like 7 months. This time I told the dealer I just needed a refund or the replacement ASAP. I should have the new guitar on Thursday and me and my dealer both have our fingers crossed. If it arrives damaged I may kill myself :) I told him to pack it like plutonium. At any rate it sucks about the Jackson, especially since only 5 were built like it. But the Caparison will be awesome. I don't have the pickups. They were included with what I paid for the guitar and went back with it.

I didn't have the option of keeping them, but honestly I would put the c-pig in the bridge and a purple dimarzio in the neck :)

That really sucks.  If it had been me, I'd have kept the Jackson but insisted on a heavy discount and/or them paying for a repair... :(
