This post should be called RIP Zakk because this bearded moron is nothing like the talented young fellow that is singing this Machine Gun Man song or anything else good. Im gonna post my personal Zakk Favorites. These songs are my favorites

Good choice, IMO there is far more stage presence there than the modern character has.

I was about to say it seemed like we are talking about Zakk's 'passing'

Yeah, I don't like Zakk any more but I was starting to think we've been going a bit over the top crucifying him in this thread....

Perhaps we have gone a little too far

check this out you all this is new news Ozzy has a new guitarist. To tell you the truth I like Zakks playing even better than this guy this guy does act like a really nice guy though

As of August 20th, 2009, it has been confirmed that Gus G. is the new guitarist for Heavy Metal icon Ozzy Osbourne.

I think my new favorite guitarist now is Doug Aldrich. He is my absolute favorite now. Its like Randys spirit passed to him.

Definitely, mate. I wouldn't call him my current favourite really (not while Joe Satriani and Gary Moore are still around), but he is terrific. Randy Rhoads would be in my top 3 guitar players without a doubt, and Doug is the closest thing there's been since, if you ask me. I'd love to have heard him play the Ozzy songs.

I seen Doug with Whitesnake when I'd barely learned who he was, and was just blown away.

Dude you know what aldrich did a randy tribute album look up Doug Aldrich on wikipedia and he did all kinds of covers for SRV OZZY a few for randy and metallica even. I agree with Gary Moore but Personally I am a rock guitarist and Joe Satriani annoys me but I am glad that you like him.

Now this is a decent ZW Solo!

Both examples of why I'm a big fan of the guy in the beggining of his career...
I think I've burnt my tongue, seems like he's coming with BLS in december... I may go watch

Perhaps the poor dude is suffering from burn out or has overdone it and is crashing?  Maybe we should all be a bit more charitable? (and I sounding like a hippy here?)

I won't be buying this guitar. I will be buying the limited edition, hand signed, Tom Murphy aged Custom Shop relic model, a snip at £8,999. Each one comes with a hard shell case individually vomited on by Zakk.

I agree with that one Elliot ; as although I do not condone a lot of what he says - and how he acts of late, it does have all the hallmarks of the inevitable crash - after trying to maintain a larger than life persona as his 'schtik' .
Of course he could also have just become a spoilt brat ;  but as has been demonstrated, the 'real' Zakk used to be ( and therefore at some level  might still be ) a much straighter and sincere man.

It's like watching ( or being ) a manic person crashing through that hypothetical 'zero line' to an equal and opposite level of despair.  Meanwhile , I just hope his wife and kids are getting good treatment.

As for his Black Label era albums ( specially 'Sonic Brew' and 'Mafia' ) - they are still my favourite choice  to have a good weightlifting / kettlebell workout  to.  The 'sameyness' that folk sometimes complain about, works well for me there - in that it hits a groove and just keeps going , in an apty focused, chuggy and squealy way. Straight ahead Rock to accompany  straight ahead hard work.

I hope he finds resolve and a balance before it's too late.  :)

I hope he carries on enjoying it as much as he obviously did there, and they don't try to make him into a novelty act (Thomas McRocklin, anyone?).

I have to say that Ozzy - for Ozzy - was in pretty good voice in that clip!
