Good Emotional Solos to Play To
« on: August 20, 2009, 07:23:10 PM »
Yes, I want to be cheesy and close my eyes when I do those bends and do weird faces in privacy of course.

So any suggestions?

I only have Comfortably Numb right now, the Live version which is bloody awesome to play to.

The solo in "Take Away My Pain" by Dream Theater. If emotional is what you're after, it's in there. It's about John Petrucci's Dad.

The solo in "I could have lied" - quite possibly my favourite Frusciante solo.
I think I hate being indecisive.

Guns N Roses - November Rain

Put on your top hat and zip your tight leather pants real tight. I guess the rest is pretty obvious.
Mississippi Queens, Stormy Monday/Apaches, Emeralds, Nailbomb (bridge)

"Have You Ever Loved a Woman?" off "Layla and Other Yadda Yadda..." by Derek and the Dominoes is pretty impassioned.
