I'd certainly drop by if I lived closer. But, I don't!

Shame it did not turn out to be as good as the journey deserved Dave ; but as you said, it will have been nice for you and Kaz to meet.  Lets face it Dave, between your joint knowledge, good reputations, stock and 'estimated turnover' - you and Kaz ARE the Nothern guitar show !  :)

Regards to both of you,

Derek.

p.s. If you saw Bob at 'Deakin Guitars' - you will have seen my 'gear broker' .

Phew just got back home now. First guitar show I've ever been and I actually quite liked it and of course it was good to say hi to Dave and Martin but I didn't see you guys later. I'm assuming you guys didn't watch Chantel McGregor at the end? She was an absolutely spectacular player not to mention she's real cute! Check her out.

Edit:found her site http://www.chantelmcgregor.com/

I managed to refrain myself from buying anything big this time although there was this cherry LP special with bigsby that I thought was absolutely gorgeous! Shame it was too pricey. I did buy some little bargains though. Got myself some cleartone cables for cheap and 3xjazz iiis + 2xUltex 0.60s for a quid  :)

Hey! I've been trying to downsize and I've only got......, well, ahem, 6 guitars now

Hope you're well Derek!

We headed off early mate.  Neither of us saw anything we wanted buy, and it was 2hrs until Chantel was on so we left.

Did you pick up the Mira X on the Guitars4You stand?  That thing was feather light  :o

The brown sunburst one that was on sale for £850? No, I didn't pick it up unfortunately but it did look nice. If I didn't have so many guitars now I'd have definitely given it a go.

I agree on the lack of anything particularly interesting on display though. It was more like just lots of shops bundled together. Did you try the Atlas guitars? I'd never heard of them before today but they looked well made and the price were a lot lower than I thought they'd be.

That Sunburst one was it.  Unbelieveably light.

Didn't try the Atlas out.  Seen them before, and they do look pretty.

Dave,

Glad to here that it was not a great show this time. Right to the death I could not decide if I was going to go. You have put my mind at ease, that said it is always nice catching up.

Im going to make the effort for the liverpool one I think.

The Liverpool one is the best one I think - usually the busiest with most stands  :)
