I've just ordered a set of Apaches...
« on: November 05, 2005, 03:23:39 PM »
I've placed an order five minutes ago. After reading such good reviews and such good tone from people like Balde or Stefan Price I couldn't resist...
I'm sure Tim is going to take special care with my set of Apaches...;)
I'll keep you posted and I'll be posting some clips any time soon after I get the precious parcel.

Talked to Tim. Great guy. My order is going to be:

Aged Apaches, '54 stagger, slightly underwound for a slightly more open , clearer sound ( to counteract my fingerstyle playing a là Beck, Knopfler,... ). Also the middle one is NON RWRP.

I'll keep you informed! So far I'm a happy camper.

The pickups are here and they look gorgeous. Unfortunately 'll have to wait a bit to listen to them as my Strat is down the luthier's workshop for a re-finish and a set up.
I'll post some clips a.s.a.p. for sure. I loved even the look of the cardboard box....so quaint. 8)  8)  8)  8)  8)

dude, I had the first opportunity to really crank my amp at a gig last night using a new set of Apaches.

AWESOME!

I just LOVE the tone and dynamics of 'em - they are great both clean and dirty....
