Lenny.

Finding those chords and the timing difficult!

Well that ain't gonna help, is it! (the strat-GAS)

Not really -  :D. I've decided to not fight the GAS though. I'm keeping the Esquire and saving some pennies (pounds!) towards a strat - maybe not a CS model but definitely a strat. MIM Classic Players, MIJ or a Roadworn are on my radar for the future.
I think I hate being indecisive.

Why don't you try a Squire Classic Vibe?

That'll be added to the list then.

I tried a squire classic Vibe a while ago and loved it.  The necks are a little thin for me but I'd consider getting one because it had serious vibe (no pun intended)

Hmm - if you loved it that makes me want to try one even more. I'm into chunkier necks now so maybe it could turn into a triggers broom guitar!

Bck on thread - still trying to learn tohse chords for Lenny  :x

Try the Roadworns Ian.

Make sure you know what you're prepared to do before you pick it up though  - it's either going to grab you or not, and if it does, it'll GRAB you hard, and reason might well go out the window - especially 'cos pricewise it's half or less than what you were looking at the other week, all sorts of demons will be whispering in your ear

The one I've got is going to take some further "wearing in" - I'm guessing they all do. I factored that in while I was buying - it wasn't a completely hysterical purchase! I'm actually too happy playing it at the moment to let it out of my hands, but I did realise as I was trying it in the shop, and before I committed, that another £100 approx to a trusted luthier of one's choice will turn this into one's dream guitar...

Oh yeah, back on topic, I was still playing Rory Gallagher stuff on it last night - mainly Taste and first two solo albums era. Those are the guitar sounds that really got me when I was trying to find my voice... and those are the sounds that this guitar makes... it's a little bit of a nostalgia trip at the moment :D

We have been studying composition for about 5 yrs now, still not out of the woods yet, but starting to be more productive. Mostly is our own music while drawing influences from different genres  . They are simple pieces, even though the amount of time employed behind each song is huge. It's lot's of fun and we get to use different guitars (all with BKP's) accordingly. Pretty much enjoying the whole journey!!!

Just got back from band practice tonight, we were playing Jace Everrett - Bad Things, the theme song for True Blood and we decided we're going to add it into our set tomorrow night, should be good fun! :)
