LAME

They are just milking it (very poorly) to the point of ridiculousness, you hired gibson to make fender knock-offs? Low points for the hendrix family and gibson

I looked at the link but I've now gone instantly blind - I'm not sure which is worse, this or Alesha Dixon on Strictly

Hendrix signature Gibson can only be a Flying V... what is this bullsh1t?

I want a Page signature Fender - not a Telecaster but a Les Paul...

I think it will look pretty authentic when you tip lighter fluid on it and set fire to it

Hendrix signature Gibson can only be a Flying V...

or a white SG

this is daft. they have been spending so much money attacking other guitar companies for copying them and they do this.  i hope the judge in their next inevitable court case has something to say about it ;)

I've got to say - todays Fender vs todays Gibson... I take the Fender everytime - guitar quality-wise and ethics-wise.

Its been a while since I played a bad modern Fender, and they sorted out their budget range too.

Im sure someone will disagree with me now

I couldn't agree more, I've been saying it for ages. Fender are doing amazing stuff at amazing prices.

or they could've told Janie Hendrix to $%&# off.

Do the guys at Gibson even care about guitars?

... and a 3 p/u SG custom in white with gold h/w would be so much more appropriate  :P

problem i now see is that this starter pack is now directly in competition with all the other strat style starters out there.  and the rest all look a lot more like jimi's actual guitar

how many flying V starter packs are there?   would that not have been a much better choice for gibson to persue.  would the kids not go crazy for that if they had a choice between the two

at least that way they could use a picture of him playing one of their guitars on the box
