a telecaster I like the look of..
« on: September 23, 2009, 04:30:16 PM »
love the tele tone, but hate the look... however it would seem there is a Telecaster for us all:

this is mine - the Jimmy Page 'Dragon' Telecaster. Love the look.

Think it could have a nicier drawn...
But now you should just buy one and make (or ask someone to make) your own drawn o it :D

it was just the first picture of it I could find :) i'm sure its not as good as the original though..

but yes, i thought for a moment, maybe someone can draw on a telecaster body for me - but then I thought of the cost..

Er, is that really what it looked like??! I've only seen black and white pictures...

Ummm... yuk...

Glad someone likes it though.

(Fernando - is this what you were suggesting I do when I got my new tele a while back? Shame sir...)

I don't remember what i suggest  Put if it were a custom psychadelic finish, just wasn't exactly this one... :P  I'm sorry, beside I'm more than 10 years without drawing, I'm very fussy about drawns...

Seems this guitar is appealing to the Tele-haters but not to the Tele-lovers.... I think it's hideous!
BKPs I've Got:  RR, BKP-91, ITs, VHII, CS set, Emeralds
BKPs I Had:  RY+Abraxas, Crawlers, BD+SM

Try turning the colour down on yer monitor Philly, doesn't look so bad then... (you might need to lower the contrast, and the brightness as well... a fair bit actually - but it'll look ok eventually )

awful, awful, awful, simply awful.

I'm a tele lover by the way.

I think Roo needs to have an opinion on this - lets put the Philly Q test to the test!
I think I hate being indecisive.

What's your address?  I feel the need to post you some sandpaper

Each to their own mate, it's not for me (again, I'm a tele-lover), but if you like it then you go for it.  Christ, some people even play Steinbergers  :P
Advice worth what you just paid for it.

 and some of the people who play Steinbergers play them with Union Jack scratchplates ;)

seems the Page 'Dragon' tele is not well liked, I think its pretty phresh.. i sort of like the pink paisley ones too, but definitely not as much.

i can take all your stick  ;) Roo hates the tele tone as well, at least I really like it, and have found one I like the look of too ;)

I knew you had one, I was going to make a V crack, bit that would have been too obvious.

I've a few, one of which is for sale..

edit: was just thinking, how much more of a difference could you have in electric guitar technology between a tele and a steinberger..!
