« on: October 03, 2009, 09:31:20 PM »
Tele
One piece 22 fret rosewood neck.
One piece Western maple body.
Tele bridge.
Need recommendations for Tele bridge, and humbucker neck (direct mount).

Thanks

What sort of sound?  If it is Keith Richards, then a Brown Sugar bridge and Stormy Monday neck will be a great setup.  For a more rocky sound, either the Blackguard stagger or the Yardbird bridge with a Mule neck.  For great blues/rock go with a Piledriveror Blackguard 52 bridge and MQ neck setup - not a humbucker but an excellent all round set.
So many pickups, so little time

Thanks Phil

I have a Tele that has a Nail Bomb bridge and MQ neck. I really like them together. I'm going for the same type of thing in reverse.
I have no clue on "traditional" Tele bridge pickups. I misfired terribly on the neck pup, originally had a CS and it was bad bad bad in that guitar.
This new build is inspired by the Phil Hurley demo of the Trussart Steelcasters. Specifically the neck tone he's getting when he opens at about 1:00 on the video, and a 6:20 with a little more output:

So I guess I'm looking for higher output pickups but I do want them to be able to clean up.
I want a MQ or BKP91 that is in a Tele bridge package, and Nail Bomb neck??
