They have a pretty confusing range now and the model names don't help.

That said I think these will be better than the valvestates they have replaced and the 50W combo would be a pretty gigable amp subject to it being reliable.

The local shop guy told me they were changing the valvstates to MA which would be small affordable all valve amps to hit back at blackstars HT range.

But I think he was confused with the class 5 series. And they dont really hit back at black star IMO they are a different kettle of fish.

Who the hell would the MA series appeal to?
Enlighten me.

I never said they didn't sound any good  ;)  Just wondering how they were making a UK built product so cheap.

Reading the blurb now for the first time, it may be that these are built off-shore?  In a Blackstar style?

I think these are made in foreign to keep the costs down.

What are the best ways to name a model anyway? I  get confused with most things technological with a model name or number

it says something like UK design and engineerd.. which sounds like total marketing none sense.. probably chassis made in china or somewhere then put into the head case or combo in UK

couldn't be much worse. I guess if they really are replacing the valvestates, then that is a good thing.
