Bonamassa @Royal Albert Hall DVD arrived today
« on: October 13, 2009, 05:06:23 PM »

It's great. Even Clapton sounds and plays decent.

But I have to say I am most astonished at the depth of tone Bonamassa generates. He has so many flavours going there, and he is perfecting the art of "less is more" here. Not flashy at all, his playing is just right, perfect, tasteful, toneful, soulful.

I recommend this DVD to everyone who likes blues guitar!

I've been pondering this DVD for a week or so now. You've just tipped me over the edge. Ordered.

Got it last week, and you're right Hunter - it's a fantastic show, with great playing and phenomenal tone. I kind of knew it was going to be good, because I saw him in Cardiff about a week before it was recorded.
Warpigs.

I was lucky enough to be at the concert, it was an amazing performance, Joe got a standing ovation after every song. The one thing that does differ fround the DVD is the tone/ sound, in the RAH it was extremely trebly, loud and piercing so much so that some people left before the encores. I am glad that it sounds as good as it does on the DVD though, and was amazed to see that i feature on it aswell haha  8), ( In case anyone was wondering, me and my friend are the guys at the beginning standing outside the Royal Albert Hall ). Having said all that I have no doubt though that it will be one of the best gigs I'll have gone to in my life  :D
