I can't see this at work either, and I was too busy playing my rosewood board strats last night, so I didn't manage to turn the laptop on... I'll check it out over the weekend :D

BUT! ... I do sense the "next one" coming on for Dave (twinfan) now...   not this one, by the sounds of it, but it sounds to me like the "seal is broken"...

This is almost as big as Roo buying a tele

Just think, in a year or so's time, when we're reading on here, Dave will be downsizing his strat collection in order to get Les Pauls (or whatever, maybe it will be Gretsch? dunno)

That's a great guitar, but there's something about Phil X - I suspect I'd like anything that he was demoing...

And I LOVE the Kings X reference...  Such a great band...

Believe me, my dislike of Strats isn't a million miles away from Roo's opinion on Teles.  There is no way on earth that I will be buying another one.

I have a Strat, a JV Squier, that was my first electric guitar.  If I wasn't emotionally attached to it, I'd sell it.

It sounds really nice, but not like a Strat - I'm assuming thats why Dave likes it and its also the reason I like it too.  The tones are almost P90'ish.

My dislike of Strats is more the look of them on me and the fact I can never get one to sound good.  I've heard other people playing Strats where they sound great - weird.  Teles are better anyway

Does sound really nice actually. As HTH says, I hate how strats look and I can never get em to sound that good!

Great sounding tone. Those rosewood necks look nice, you can get those on the Warmouth site. He is a good player and singer that bloke. He did a great job of 'Over My Head' by Kings X. I saw them live 20 years ago.

Yes that's right, they had the same promoter or something like that. It was an all day Thrash gig at The Brixton Academy. It was only about 15 quid for the tickets too before fun got taxed by one eyed wallet raping goldfish features.
