New pickup for my Gibson LP

HI guys,I'm new in forum..i'm italian,sorry for my bad english..
I would like to replace pickup of my LP standard of 2004 that now is powered by Burtsbucker pro pickup and i don't love it..
I would like to have a couple of pickup with vintage sound, biting,hot and warm sound ,with a great dynamic
and espressivity that Burstbucker Pro do not have, and with just a little more punch and output to the bridge..
I like PAF sound!
What kind of balanced set do you advise to me???

I don’t agree ;)

Don't be fooled by the name. Black dog is a slightly overwound PAF, and an excellent one at that. As versatile as a pickup of that type can be!

That one or the Mules should be right up your alley. Put simple, the Mules have less output and less midrange than the Black dogs. Based on what you wrote, I'd say Black dogs..

The Riff Raff is bright, clear and open.  Not a lot of warmth.  Definitely a rock pickup, and not a singing blues pickup...

I still stand by the BD recommendations. However, if you can give us a bit more specific description on the tone (like a tone on some song), it would narrow it down. Right now, there are many alternatives to achieve warm hot bite with an LP ;) However, you did describe it PAF.

How does the guitar sound acoustically? Is it dark or bright, somewhere in between? Lots of mids, less mids?

It still won't hurt to give Tim an e-mail; he's very rarely wrong. Just state your tonal requirements and the characteristics of the guitar clear and he'll be able to give you a very educated suggestion :)  A rule of the thumb: Tim's recommendation > forum recommendation :) I think he's an LP-player mostly and has a whole bunch of them.

Tim told me to take a set of Riff Raff(bridge) and The Mule(neck)..
What do you think of this kind of set???

Still makes sense, an LP is by nature a quite warm sounding instrument. I don't know the Riff Raff well enough to really comment on it, other than to follow Tim's advice 8) The Mule neck however, will give you a woody, singing and articulate tone, but not weak by any means.

Do you know which kind of Bare knuckle pickup are more similare to Burstbucker 1 and burstbucker 2 Gibson?
